Golubka
An interesting first project from young restaurateurs exploring modern Russian gastronomy. Fresh, tasty and feels just like home. It’s a pleasure to drop here after a walk around the lake near Novodevichy Monaster, or just to buy bottle of milk and bread on your way home. It’s a hip place with a great combination of food vs. bill in this district.

A cozy place with a nice atmosphere. The owners are the chefs and waiters in one. An inspired menu of Russian food all sourced from small farms and based on their own developed recipes with a huge choice of home-made drinks and tinctures. This is the kind of esoteric place entangled in the old Moscow’s courts without advertising. The menu is rather specific but it’s worth checking out at least once to find out if it’s for you. They’ve also started to serve food from their own street caravan.

Upsidedown Cake
Very airy, light and calm with a lovely atmosphere, long common tables and outstanding desserts. There is also small choice of snacks but I come here only for two desserts - the banana and vanilla pudding and their small lemon cheesecake. One of the advantages of café is its location situated on a real Moscow gastronomy cross, side by side Corner Burger, Ragout, Bulka and Yornik. Each of these places deserves an individual story too…

This is quiet spot at the Red October creative cluster. Probably more suited for business meetings than friendly dinners, however, their original recipes, cocktails and interesting tea infusions make it worthwhile. However, for me it is still business meeting point. It loses a bit against its more bright shining neighbours - Bar Strelka, Art Academia, Reka and Bontampi. Also, despite that the Red October is full of bars and restaurants, still to be solved is the good food at reasonable prices…

Osteria Uno
The most pleasant thing here are big panoramic windows. And to me, if place in Moscow has big widows with the light streaming in, that’s 90% success already. Osteria Uno is all about traditional Italian cuisine, a summer terrace, beautiful people, good music and service. And it’s open 24 hours a day. An unconditional advantage.
